A letter for them

It's just like yesterday I begin my journey, challenging myself to survive somewhere that is not being called as a home. I went here as a stranger and meet the other strangers who now become parts of my life. Well, four years just went by and as she said that every step you took with your right foot will enforce your left foot to take another step. Once, I felt that 'this is the end for me'. Cried my eyes out, yelled, and screamed where what I need just some more times. It always comes around and I just never realize how bad it is for them. Even when I keep it to myself, they could tell that I'm not okay. It seems so unfair that every time they have to pretend and hiding their tears while holding and pulling me. There are no ways to get it all back. The only thing that I hope It's for me to never shake this memories and when the time comes, when the time for me to take that journey comes, I will always remind. It's corny but I love you mom and dad, always have and always will.

Movie Review : Short Term 12

I tried to write a review last time and it makes me want to write more. It gives a weird sense of satisfaction when you pour your specific thoughts about something into words. It is like an addiction. Well, now I would like to make a review on movie that I just watched thirty minutes ago. It called "Short Term 12"

Summary:
The story takes place at a foster-care facility for at-risk teenagers called Short Term 12. Grace is a young counselor who work at there with her three colleagues (Mason, Jessica, and Nate). They try their best to work with the kids who often profoundly scared dealing with their life after being pulled out from the worst kinds of home situations. The conflict raised when Grace who bravely taking the kids can not let go her own problem. To cope, Grace will have to make difficult perceptions and decisions that could put her career, and more importantly her charges, at dire risk.

Short Term 12 directed and written by Destin Cretton. It also starred Brie Larson as Grace and John Gallagher Jr. as Mason. Short Term 12 is truly a special film and was definitely give such a deep impression to me. The storyline is so simple yet it becomes the strongest point of this movie. It also supported with a sincere act that the cast played. It is so real and honest until it makes me feel that this movie is a true story which is not. They can point out each characters perfectly although it has so many characters (the kids). I can really relate to each character of them since they reveal it in such a realistic way. There are definitely some moving moment that made me tear up.

Despite of many awards that they won which I agree that they deserve it, I very recommend especially for young adult to watch this movie. It will gives you a different perspective, more to them who through this kind of problem.

Book Review : The Fault In Our Stars

Hi all! It has been so many times I tried to post a book or movie review in this blog, but it always failed. Since I'm in my semester break right now, have nothing to do and just finished read this book by John Green called "The Fault In Our Stars", I decide to write one.

Summary of this book:
The story is about seventeen year old girl named Hazel Grace who diagnosed with thyroid cancer which effected her lungs and made her undergo several experimental medication. Her parents decide that she was depressed because she rarely left the house and spent quite a lot of time in bed. Therefore her parents insist her to join a cancer support group. The story not finished with her chapter about how she fight upon her diagnosis. But when Hazel meet Augustus Waters at the support group.

"The Fault In Our Stars" published in January, 2012. I have heard about this book since then and it always listed in one of "books that you should read". The main cast of this book are Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters who both are cancer victims. The Fault in Our Stars tell a weird yet romantic relationship between Hazel and Gus. I have already prepared myself for a sad, sorrowful, devastated, heartbroken story that will make my eyes tears out. But it happened to be a funny, thrilling, and yet somehow it give me a sad but not irony feeling. John Green write a genius description of sadness that is felt by these two teenagers. The book is full of life quotes and meaningful events.

" A smartly crafted intellectual explosion of romance " - Kirkus

One of my most favorite moment is when Hazel met Gus for the first time in Support Group and Gus was asked to share his fear and struggle. Gus said that his fear was oblivion and when the others are asked to speak to that, Hazel who was a fairly shy person raised her hand and said "There will come a time, when all of us are dead. All of us. There will come a time when there are no human beings remaining to remember that anyone ever existed or that our species ever did anything. There will be no one left to remember Aristotle or Cleopatra, let alone you. Everything that we did and built and wrote and thought and discovered will be forgotten and all of this will have been for naught. Maybe that time is coming soon and maybe it is millions of years away, but even if we survive the collapse of our sun, we will not survive forever. There was time before organisms experienced consciousness, and there will be time after. And if the inevitability of human oblivion worries you, I encourage you to ignore it. God knows that's what everyone else does." This particular moment in this book that makes me want to continue read and discover more.

For you who prefer to watch than read, the movie will released this June, 2014 starred Shailene Woodley as Hazel and Ansel Elgort as Gus. I can't wait!

Broga Hills

Hello again fellas!
Yesterday (26.08.13), we went to hiking in Broga Hills. It was my second experienced in hiking or jungle tracking. Last time is when I was doing my internship in somewhere near Pangkor while doing our company trip. Yesterday we went hiking to celebrate my dearest friend birthday. Her name is Gita Indah. We start to go from Cyber around 4 AM and reach the place around 5 AM. At first I thought It will be very spooky because It will be so quite. But when I go there we see a lot of cars already park at the downhill and a lot people already start to hiking. It was very dark so it's really hard to see the road but once after we reach on the top, all the pain and exhaustion was forgotten. It was really beautiful up there. We watch the sunrise together. After a while when the sun already begins to warmed the weather, we decide to going back and reach Cyberjaya around 11 AM. It was a nice kind of weekend.
